Joseph’s 25th Birthday
Happy Birthday to me!
Yup I’m 25 now, guess I’m no longer a child anymore, might need to grow up one of these days, lol.
I wanted a really simple birthday and I got one, finally everyone listened to me. Just had a nice dinner, opened a few gifts while having some cake, it was nice.
I got a new tool bag since I’m exploding the sides on the one I already have, too much stuff in there. I also got a nice pilsner beer glass and a trip to go meet and pet some penguins in NJ which is going to be really fun. Gotta love the penguins.
Potluck Dinner #2
Tonight was the second potluck dinner, category was finger foods. I’de say this was another hit and now we’re definitely going to keep doing these. It’s always fun when everyone gets together.
For this dinner I decided to make some chicken wings with the same sauce I made for the ribs last time since everyone liked the sauce. These were a lot quicker and easier to do, just cook them for about 30 minutes then add sauce and cook for another 15 minutes.
Now to be annoying like I always strive to do, on Marie’s Evite I demanded a cake since my birthday is Monday. Well of course Eric and Marie made me a cake, but I wasn’t expecting one as cool as this one!!
Now I just think this is awesome, I mean they had to hand carve the penguin out and then dye the crap out of the icing to get it black. The effort alone was really nice in itself. Good icing job too, I suck at icing cakes.
Needless to say the cake was delicious, even if all the food coloring stained your tongue, mouth, fingers, etc for a few days! =P
Accord Hits 100,000 Miles
All week long I have been watching the odometer because I was getting near 100,000 miles. I get home Thursday night and notice that I am really close to that number and I had to travel to White Plains the next day, surely enough to put me over the mark.
Well of course I completely forgot to pay attention while driving down there, but by some stoke of luck I stopped at a light two blocks from where I needed to be and looked down and saw this:
So I was able to get the shot I wanted for this post! Not so bad really for a 2001 Honda Accord that I got in 2004 with 9,801 miles on it. This baby should last me another six years or so.
Complaint: New York State Vehicle Registration Renewal
I apologize in advance but this really bugged me today…
Received my vehicle registration in the mail today, not really too excited over it. I have a very small two door car that weighs 3000lbs. Two years ago it cost me $40 to renew its registration. Guess how much it costs this year? $110!
You have to be kidding me, almost triples in two years?!?!?!?!? I guess we can all thank Gov. Paterson for this bullcrap. I love the $10 Use Tax on it. WTF is use tax? I can’t wait until Jamie’s car has to be renewed in a few months and that special new plate fee crap will be added on to it, freekin’ ridiculous.
So bottom line is that New York State and all its mighty loves to suck the crap out of us little people so idiots in government can get a bonus at the end of the year, one that they get to give themselves…isn’t that great…
Oh yeah and I know he can’t read this small of print but I’m going to type it anyway, F@%K Paterson. Can’t wait to see how much he loses by at the end of this year, idiot actually thinks he’s going to get re-elected! HAHAHA
[UPDATE] So a few days after posting this I see that Paterson officially said he’s dropping out of the race for the end of this year…was it something I said? LOL.

Jason Logan Meets Balloon
Jason is getting bigger each day and he’s in the stage of almost teething and probably going to sprout a tooth any day now. Because of this, everything is a sucking toy to him. His grip is amazing and it’s just cute as all hell what he does. Here he’s trying to suck on the mylar balloons that caught his eye.
Jamie’s 22nd Birthday
Happy Birthday Jamie!
Today was Jamie’s 22nd birthday. We started early with some cake and presents at Casey & Andrew’s house last night and continued it into today with dinner, cake again, and the movies.
We went out to eat to the new TGI Friday’s that opened up about a month or so ago in town with my parents and sister. I love TGI Friday’s because they use Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce. Anyway, we all had a nice meal and with barely any time to digest we headed off to Jamie’s parents house for cake and more presents with Casey & Andrew there. After all that hoopla, we met up with Justin and Matthew to watch the movie The Wolfman.
If you are curious who decorated the cake, that was all Marie :)
Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
Since Jamie had to work all this weekend we didn’t get to go out to eat this year, what a bummer. I guess its ok since next week it’s her birthday and we are going out to celebrate.
I did however break the rules yet again and gave Jamie some hoop earrings. She always gets those cheap ones and they look like crap after weathering, so now she has some real ones from Tiffany (boy she’s lucky my dad works there I’ll tell ya!). Of course I threw in the necessary chocolate covered cherries she loves, I even got the right brand this year!
